How did she get her name? Just look at her! Pictures really don’t do her justice. She is a beautiful blue brindle and has the sweetest face. This sweet girl loves a belly rub and will always lay on her back patiently waiting for one. Bella has been a momma dog a few times and is now looking for a home where she can just rest as the only dog.

Pit Bull Male 4 YRS SG65730
This guy has a quite a story…He first came to us as a stray a couple of years ago and was adopted since he is such a gorgeous and sweet dog. However his new owners had a feisty pomeranian and chihuahua who would pick on Bubba. He had already suffered some cuts from their bites and his new owners feared he would really get hurt. Again Bubba ended up at the shelter and again he was adopted. One of our volunteers really bonded with Bubba and had him microchipped with her as an alternate contact. His second owner eventually had to move and couldn’t take Bubba with him but looked for a new home for Bubba. Somehow though Bubba ended up at the Downey Animal Shelter and thanks to that chip we got the call. SInce he is such an amazing dog of course we went and got him! So now he is back with us and we want to find this great guy a PERMANENT home. A few things to know about Bubba…yes he is big, but he doesn’t know it. As you can see from this picture he thinks he is lap dog. He loves belly rubs and if he isn’t in your lap he is on his back waiting for the rub down. He is great on a leash and is just an all around great dog that is waiting for his luck to change.

Cattle Dog Mix Female/Spayed 1YR SG66653
This beautiful girl was brought to us one early morning by a good samaritan. While a man was driving early in the morning he saw what he thought was dead dog on the side of the road. However, when he approached Kenya lifted her head and he just knew he had to help her. Kenya had suffered a broken scapula and spent must of her recovery time quietly sitting in her kennel. But once we got her to come out of her kennel we learned what an absolutely sweet girl she is. She has played big sis to puppies, she lights up when she sees people, comes to the front of her kennel for a chest rub and wags her tail like crazy. This little girl truly deserves a home.

Delilah is a super sweet girl despite her ordeal. She came to us with severe wounds to her neck and head from a dog attack. Although she must have been in pain she was champ during her treatment and showed us what a good dog she is. She is healing up beautifully and now waits for a safe loving home to be a part of. You really must come meet this sweet, strong, and just amazing girl!

Chocolate was brought to us by his owners who sadly couldn’t keep him at their new apartment. However before they had to bring him to us they did work with him. Chocolate nows how to sit and stay on command. He has a very sweet and friendly temperament and would be a great addition to your family (as long as you don’t have a cat).

Mr. Little gained his name due his stocky build and his medium height. Stuart has a beautiful brindle coat and loves to have it petted. In return he will shower you with kisses. He is a great dog that would love to find a permanent home.
